    تنويه مهم لإجراءات ما قبل السفر

    يتمنى لكم المكتب الثقافي التوفيق في اختبارات نهاية الفصل الدراسي، ومع استعداد الطلبة للسفر خارج الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، يود المكتب الثقافي التنويه على الأمور التالية:

  • مراجعة مكتب العلاقات الدولية في الجامعة للتأكد من أن مستند I-20 وسجل SEVIS صالحان مع إعتماد توقيع مستند I-20 قبل السفر والتأكد من مكتب العلاقات الدولية من عدم وجود مانع من العودة للولايات المتحدة الأمريكية .
  • في حال العودة للكويت يرجى التأكد من حل أي مشاكل تقنية متعلقة بتطبيق سهل وذلك للتمكن من الحصول على مستند التأمينات الإجتماعية (PIFSS) وأي مستند آخر.
  • يجب التأكد من وجود جواز سفر صالح لمدة لا تقل عن ستة (6) أشهر من تاريخ العودة إلى الولايات المتحدة وفي حال كان أقل من ذلك فإنه يتوجب العمل على تجديد الجواز في الكويت لتجنب أي مشاكل تمنع من دخول الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية عند العودة.

    Important Pre-Travel Announcement

    The Cultural Office wishes you success in your end-of-term exams. As some of the students prepare to travel outside the United States, the Cultural Office would like to remind you to ensure the following:

  • Contact your university’s International Office to confirm that your I-20 and SEVIS record are valid, have the I-20 properly endorsed before travel, and verify with the International Office that there are no restrictions preventing your return to the United States.
  • If returning to Kuwait, make sure to resolve any technical issues related to the Sahel app in order to obtain your social insurance documents (PIFSS) or any other required documents.
  • Passport validity: Ensure your passport is valid for at least six (6) months from the date of return to the United States. If it has less than six months remaining, you must renew your passport in Kuwait to avoid any issues preventing entry into the United States upon your return.

Spring 2023 Scholarship Reminders for ESL Students

I hope your Fall 2022 term is going well!  We are looking forward to working with you in the upcoming Spring 2023 term. Please note that following important Spring 2023 reminders and deadlines. Please submit all required documents listed below by February 1, 2023 to make sure you receive your March 2023 salary on time (released around February 20, 2023). If we do not receive your required documents by the deadline we will not be able to release your salary.

Happy Thanksgiving

In observance of Thanksgiving, our offices will be closed Thursday, November 24th through Friday November 25th. We will resume normal business hours on Monday, November 28, 2022.

Urgent Fall 2022 Reminders to Students

We hope the new academic year is off to a wonderful start. We wanted to remind you of an important deadline. Please make sure that you meet this deadline so that you can continue to receive your monthly salaries on time. 

DEADLINE For Required Document Listed Below: September 16th, 2022 

  • OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS SPRING/SUMMER: Please have your official transcripts from ALL schools that you attended for Spring or Summer 2022 sent to your advisor. Transcripts must be sent directly from your school to your advisor. 
  • FALL 2022 VERIFICATION OF ENROLLMENT (VOE): Please send your advisor a copy of your Fall 2022 course schedule. Please make sure the course schedule includes your name, the name of the school, and the courses that you will be taking this term. 
  • ONLINE COURSE AUDITS: Please have a copy of your online course audit from all schools that you attended for Spring or Summer 2022 sent to your advisor. Online audits must be sent directly from your school to your advisor and should be signed by the registrar's office. 
  • UPDATED STUDY PLAN: If you have not submitted an updated study plan to our office within the previous 6 months, please make sure to submit an updated study plan to our office. If you are unsure, please reach out to your advisor. 
IF WE  DO NOT RECEIVE YOUR DOCUMENTS BY THE DEADLINE YOUR OCTOBER 20TH, 2022 SALARY RELEASE (NOVEMBER 2022 SALARY) WILL BE HELD UNTIL WE RECEIVE THE MISSING DOCUMENTS. 

We cannot emphasize enough the importance of maintaining close and regular communication with your academic advisor at the Cultural Office. Our goal is always to assist with issues or concerns that pertain to your scholarship and we are here to help.
